Synpnosis

Goong, (궁) also known as Princess Hours, or Palace, is a romance-comedy set in an alternative Korea, where it is still ruled by the royal family. Shin Chae Gyung is an ordinary high school girl, who's grandfather was the best friend of the late king. The late king, Shin's grandfather, and Chae-gyung grandfather, had an agreement that Chae-gyung will marry whoever the crown prince is. Shin, being the crown prince and because the need for a crown princess is high due to hthe king's illness, agrees to marry her. Before agreeing, he proposed to his love, Min Hyo Rin first, but she rejected him in order to pursue her ballerina dreams. Although at first they felt nothing for each other and had a bad start, gradually and slowly, they start falling for each other. Later, Shin's cousin, Lee Yul, who's was the crown prince until his father died, and attends the same class as Chae Gyung. Eventually, he starts falling for her too. Who will the innocent, honest, but immature Chae-gyung choose? The cold and insensitive Shin who's soft side is just slowly showing, or the warm and romantic Yul who also plans on stealing not only Chae Gyung, but the thrown from Shin? And will Shin divorce Chae Gyung for Hyo Rin?

What I think about this:

I watched this with english subtitles in Youtube. Back way before the Goong episodes were deleted. I loved this. Although, at first the episodes first pretty boring, the show, as I watch, becomes more and more interesting and makes you wanna watch more. I love the romantic scenes between Shin and Chae Gyung, and hate it when there are people trying to break them apart, who likes it? The cast...... they were made up of rookies, which most fans, at first, didn't like. Most fans, at the time, wanted well-known actors to play the role. Fortunately, most of those fans thought differently, as shown in the show's high ratings. I love the cast!! Yoon Eun Hye actually left Xman variety show to act in this, and she's made the right decision because now she's one of the most popular singers-turned-actors/actresses in Korea! Joo Ji Hoon, Song Ji Hyo, and Kim Jeong Hoon became very popular, too, and watched them again in their new dramas, Ji Hoon stars in The Devil, Jeong Hoon in Witch Yoo Hee and Fog Street, and Ji Hyo in the Book of Three Han. Other than the cast, I love the OST for this show. Even though I can't understand Korean, I can't help listening to the songs!! Anyways, for all people who have not watched it, I highly recommend it.
